Our Story
Founded in 1995, Prime Engineering was built on a simple principle — that every project deserves precise, dependable data and responsive professional service. What began as a small local surveying firm has grown into a full-service land surveying, civil engineering, and environmental consulting company trusted by homeowners, developers, and municipalities across Massachusetts.
Today, our licensed surveyors, engineers, and environmental professionals bring together over 100 years of combined experience and a shared commitment to excellence.

Richard Rheaume, Principal and Chief Engineer
Rich is a professional engineer in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island and a licensed site professional and soil evaluator in Massachusetts. Rich has 55 years of experience designing a broad range of residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal projects. Rich manages projects from early conception, through design, permitting, and construction oversight. Rich has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Science Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Andrew Benevides, Lead Draftsman
Andrew is a Civil Engineering Technician and has been working with Prime Engineering since February 2023. Andrew has over 20 years of CAD experience working with multiple past businesses including Trade School and the telecom utility industry, along with eight years of experience working within the Civil Engineering industry. He is a 2008 graduate of Bristol Community College, Fall River, Massachusetts (AS in Civil/Structural Technology). Andrew spends his free time as a practicing instrumentalist and loves spending time with his family.
Alex Cordiero, Party Chief
Alex has been a dedicated member of the Prime Engineering team for over 12 years, with a strong background in property, construction, and topographic surveying. Alex graduated from James Madison University in 2013, with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and has since built a reputation for precision, reliability, and a deep knowledge in the survey field. Alex combines technical expertise with a passion for the outdoors. When Alex is not on the job site, you’ll likely find him playing guitar, exploring nature, or riding his bicycle around town.
Christine Mercier, Accounts Manager
Christine has served as the Accounts Manager at Prime Engineering for over nine years and has over 25 years of experience in customer service. Chris has owned a grooming business, been a vet technician, and worked in a medical office for 14 years. Chris studied Liberal Arts while in college.
Benjamin Ott, Survey Technician
Benjamin is a Survey Technician and works as a member of Prime Engineering’s survey crew. Benjamin is an experienced CAD draftsman and was self-employed as a draftsman prior to joining Prime in 2024. Benjamin graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2007, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction Technology.
Anastasia Pacheco, CADD Technician
Anastasia is a certified Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) technician with over a decade of experience in the field. Anastasia began her career in 2013, through a co-op program while in high school and graduated from Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School in 2014, with a focus in CADD. Anastasia expanded her professional experience in 2022, by training under a Professional Land Surveyor, stepping into the role of a survey field technician. This transition allowed her to merge her technical drafting expertise with her love for the outdoors—something she describes as “the perfect combination of my desire to be outdoors for work and my passion for drafting.” Anastasia has worked with Prime Engineering since 2024. Anastasia is currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering and working toward obtaining her Professional Land Surveying License. Anastasia enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, exploring the outdoors, and giving back to her community through volunteer work.
Jason G. Racette, PLS, Chief Land Surveyor
Jason is a registered professional land surveyor in Connecticut, Maine, and Massachusetts. Jason has been working in the land surveying profession since 1992. Jason worked for the Bureau of Land Management in Springfield, Virginia and Washington, DC for fourteen years and he was self-employed for eighteen years prior to joining Prime in May 2023. Jason is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono (BS '93, MS '13). He is currently working on his Doctorate of Engineering Degree in Surveying Engineering Technology at the University of Maine.
Genny Reynolds, Office Manager
Genny is the Office Manager for Prime Engineering’s office in Lakeville. She has been at Prime for 11 years, handing office management, human resources, customer service, project management, and other tasks that make the office run efficiently. Genny took off 12 years Prior to working at Prime to raise her two children, and in a former career, worked in banking at JP Morgan Chase and GE Capital. Genny has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University.
Eric Sullivan
Eric is an Environmental Project Manager and has been with Prime Engineering since the Fall of 2016. Eric manages the environmental division at Prime and assists clients with soil disposal options for large construction/development projects, works on environmental reports including Health and Safety Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Reports, Environmental Management Plans, conducts MCP work in Massachusetts, handles emergency response work, and performs due diligence / Phase I work for banks, realtors, and other entities. Eric has been working in the Environmental Science field since 2002. Eric previously worked for the Stantec Group for thirteen years from 2003 to 2016, and worked in Georgia and much of the Southeastern United States when he first started his career in the environmental world back in 2002. Eric is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst (BS '01). He likes skiing, hiking, and traveling with his family.
